We had great fun over the last few weeks preparing for Easter in Junior Infants. We created beautiful pieces of artwork as a class and also with the help of 6th class!  

The Garden Centre!

For the remainder of March and April, we will be looking at the theme of the garden centre. We will be planting various flowers in the yard, using soil during Aistear, designing flower pots and pretending we are going to the garden centre. Take a look at our Aistear corner.

The story of milk.

In junior infants we were learning about where milk comes from. We looked at a PowerPoint at the various steps that milk goes through before we buy it from the shop. The children then worked together to sequence the various picture cards.

The Farm

For the month of February, we are looking at the theme of the farm. Take a look at our role play station in the Aistear corner.      

Orienteering in PE

For the month of January we are focussing on the strand of outdoor and adventure in PE. Yesterday we completed some orienteering exercises where the children had to navigate the hall, matching pictures of animals to their corresponding colour. They really enjoyed it!
